A couple of comments regarding the candidates:

  • BMW 3-series, BMW Z4 and Mercedes-Benz B-class were included in the longlist because the dynamic press launches will take place mainly in November and most of the jury members are expected to have an opportunity for test drives before the first round of voting.
  • Audi E-tron was dropped out of the list because the DPL will start only after the deadline for the first round. A car with the latest EV technology would require a more thorough test than just a few hours of driving.
